Business Lunch
Business Lunch is a career fair organized by SDU Kolding, Kolding School of Design, IBA Erhvervsakademi Kolding, and Business Kolding. It’s an event where students and various companies meet to discuss projects, internships, or general collaboration opportunities.The event is free and takes place at SDU Kolding. If you sign up, you’ll also receive a free lunch sandwich. More information to follow.

Every Sunday
Running Club
Every sunday, you can join the running club ‘Running Sucks’. You can join them on a 5, 10, 15 or 20km run, and get yourself a snack afterwards.

Student Resources
Here is an overview of the resources available for students at the IBA and in Kolding.
The resources are marked, if they are created by students or an offical and IBA-approved source.
On this YouTube channel, you can watch recordings from lectures and helpful guides from IBA students.
All lectures have been recorded with the teacher’s and students’ consent.

As a student you have access to the IBA library on the 4th floor. Here you can find books, articles, statistics, databases, partner school libraries and much more.

As a citizin in Kolding you also have access to the Communal library in Kolding. You will fint it in the heart of Kolding, right by the train station.
The library is highly geared towards students, offering many resources and activities. The staff is helpful, and there are several excellent study rooms available where you can study alone or in groups.
Campus Kolding is the name of the municipality’s effort aimed at student life in Kolding. It is built on a strong collaboration between Kolding Municipality, the four higher education institutions, and actors across culture, business, and leisure.
If YOU have a great idea, they can help you realize it. They can connect you with partners, help spread the word, and even give your idea a financial boost if you apply for funding through our campus fund.
The Expats Association of Kolding is a purely non-profit organization, which promotes various social causes for the interest of Expats settled in Kolding municipality.
They aim to gather all of the Expats living in the municipality of Kolding together, to feel welcomed in Kolding.
Their other aim is to promote integration and create a network within Danish society.
TEAK provides a platform to all Expats to share knowledge, experience, skills and culture – with other Expats, Association members and Danes.
At Sprogskolen Kolding they offer teaching in Danish courses 1, 2 and 3. Both physical classes and online.
As a student, you will be placed in the Danish language program that suits your qualifications and needs for learning Danish.

They also have access to a Study Center, where you are welcome to practice Danish yourself.
There is a teacher to help you with the various activities. The study center is a supplement to the Danish lessons in the classes.

Language Café
Fundament has a language café every Wednesday from 5 PM to 7.30 PM at Riberdyb 10.
The Language Café is run by Danish-speaking youth who will organize various activities centered around speaking Danish. These include board games, quiz nights, treasure hunts, and general gatherings focused on exploring and practicing the Danish language in a fun and welcoming community setting.
Simon Peters Kirke also has a language café on Tuesdays from 4 PM – 6 AM at Simon Peters Hus (Islandsvej 4, 6000 Kolding).
The Danish Red Cross also has tools to help you practice Danish with their volunteer language trainers. You can book an online conversation at sprogland.
Here you can find all associations, communities, and clubs in Kolding.
Hard Skills Station is for all students at Campus Kolding who want to boost their professional skills.
They collaborate with the companies in Kolding to provide students with the best opportunities for upskilling. The topics range widely and include workshops in programming and no-code, video, photography, podcasting, as well as design skills such as Illustrator and laser-cutting. The initiative is free, but requires registration.

Nicolai is Kolding’s cultural playground, where you can get support to realize your cultural project.
Building 5 is a cultural hub in the heart of Kolding, located within the Nicolai complex. It provides space for cultural entrepreneurs, creative initiatives, workshops, and various forms of consultancy within these fields.
At the Maker Space, you can work with tools such as a heat press for textiles, laser cutters, plotters, and 3D printers. To use the Maker Space, you’ll need a license for the machines.
The Textile Workshop offers access to sewing machines and opportunities to participate in themed workshops.
In the TV and Photo Studios, you can take professional photos and record videos.

Fundament is a volunteer-driven association with the mission to help young artists, designers and culture practitioners bring their ideas to life.
Here you can attend engaging workshops, events and collaborations. Fundament provides tools for artistic development and project management.
The association also offers an open space where young talents can connect, create and share ideas.

We have collected an overview of the different activities that Campus Sport offers.
Campus Sport is a student-run organization that offers a wide range of fun weekly activities for students in Kolding. All members pay a base fee of 25 DKK biannually (every 6 months), which provides various discounts/benefits for students in Kolding.

Fitness Containers
At the training container at Åstien (Kolding Åpark 11), free fitness classes are held every week for all students on higher education in Kolding from 16.30-17.30.

Kolding Climbing Club
Kolding Climbing Club offers Jutland’s largest indoor climbing hall. If fear of heights isn’t one of your phobias, the climbing club offers trial days where you can try your hand at the sport for a small fee.

If you are in need of counselling the IBA offers FREE Student Counselling.
Student Counselling can help you make the best of your studies when something in your life isn’t optimal.
The student counsellor has duty of confidentiality, so all conversations will take place in a confidential environment.
You can book an appointment by emailing the student counsellor, and he or she will find a time that suits you. The student counsellor can also make a reference to a psychologist for you.
You can talk about everything from absence, death, addiction, mental illness, and exam anxiety.
