Privacy Policy for the IBA Website
When you visit www.iba.dk, we collect your personal data. The data is used to customize and improve the content on the website, to increase the value of ads on the website, and to manage your communications with us.
The IBA International Business Academy, Havneparken 1, 6000 Kolding is the controller responsible for the processing of your personal data. It is our duty to process your personal data in a responsible way, and you should contact us if you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or the processing of your personal data. Moreover, we have appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO), whose task it is to advise the IBA on the processing of your personal data in accordance with the relevant regulations.

Your Personal Data
Personal data is any information that can be attributed to you in one way or another. When you use our website, we collect and process a large variety of such information. Examples include, but are not limited to, any ordinary access to content by way of cookies, whenever you sign up for our newsletter, participate in competitions or surveys, register as a user or subscriber, sign up for events, courses and webinars, or apply for admission through the website.
Generally, the IBA collects and processes the following types of personal data: your name, phone number, email, address, a unique ID and technical information about your computer, tablet or smartphone, as well as your IP number, geographical location, and the pages you click on (interests).
We do not process any sensitive personal information about you.
Purpose and Legal Basis
Our purpose for processing your personal data is to identify you as a user; to provide requested services; to register your participation in events, courses and webinars; and to register you for courses, competitions, etc. Moreover, the data is used to advertise our products and services to you in the best possible way.
As regards the legal basis for the processing of your personal data, it is necessary in order for us to pursue our legitimate interests, or more particularly in order to promote our services, conduct statistical analysis, and improve user experience and security, as set out in Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.
Disclosure of Your Personal Data
In certain cases, we may have legitimate grounds for disclosing your personal data to third parties. This may apply to such data as the way you use the website and the ads you receive and are likely to click on, as well as your geographical location, gender and age, to the extent that such information is known. You will find a list of the third parties in question in our cookie policy. The data is used for targeted advertising.
Furthermore, we have engaged certain data processors to perform a number of tasks on our behalf. These data processors will have access to your personal data.However, they may only lawfully access and process your personal data on our behalf in order to accomplish such specific tasks as determined by IBM. The data processors in question may, for example, be providers of IT solutions.
We only use data processors from the EU or countries that can ensure adequate protection of your personal data.
Transfer of Your Personal Data to Countries Outside EEA
In the event that we transfer your personal data to a country outside the EEA, it will either be to a country which has been determined by the EU Commission to have an adequate level of security, or it will be with regards to the standard regulation of the EU Commission.
Security
We have taken the necessary technical and organizational measures towards the protection of your data, in order to ensure that your data may not be accidentally or unlawfully deleted, published, lost, impaired or revealed to unauthorized persons, nor misused or otherwise processed in an illegal way.
Duration of Storage
We will store your personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purposes described above. Data which are no longer necessary to fulfill the purposes described above are deleted on a continuous basis.
Information provided through mediums such as contact forms is kept for a maximum of 12 months after having first been recorded.
If you subscribe to any newsletters, your data is stored as long as the subscriptions are active. If you unsubscribe, you will immediately stop receiving newsletters, and your data will be kept for a maximum of 2 years.
Your Rights

You have the right to know about all your personal data that we collect and process, as well as the right to receive a copy of it. Moreover, you have the right to object to the way we process your personal data; to request the revision or erasure of data that you believe to be inaccurate or outdated, etc.; and to request more restricted processing of your personal data. Some of the aforementioned rights require the fulfillment of certain conditions in the data protection legislation.
As the data subject, you also have the right to data portability, provided the fulfillment of certain conditions in the data protection legislation. The right to data portability means that you have the right to receive, in an organized, accessible and machine-readable format, the personal data concerning yourself that has been submitted to us, where the processing is carried out automatically, and the legal basis for the processing is by consent or by contract. Moreover, if technically possible, you have the right to have your personal data transferred to another controller.
You have the right at any time to object to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes.
As you have given your consent to the processing of your personal data, you nevertheless have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. The withdrawal of your consent does not, however, affect the lawfulness of the processing prior to the withdrawal. Upon withdrawal, the processing of your personal data will cease and your personal data will be deleted, unless there is a legitimate basis for continued storage, e.g. for purposes of documentation.

This Privacy Policy will be updated and amended at regular intervals, or when necessary due to changes in data protection legislation and practice. Consequently, we recommend that you keep yourself informed.
