- Strøm: 0,25 kW time
- Opvaskemiddel: 1 gram
- Vand: 0,89 liter rent vand.

Facts about the IBA cups
At the IBA, you can borrow a thermal cup when getting coffee or tea. Once you have finished your drink, you can place it on one of the designated trolleys for used tableware. The cup is then taken to the canteen, where it is washed in the canteen’s dishwasher.
About the cup
-
The thermo cup has a capacity of 0.35 litres.
-
It is manufactured by Bodum, which includes it in its outdoor range under the name Pavina Outdoor.
-
It is made from the plastic type SAN, meaning it is completely free from the hormone-disrupting chemical bisphenol A, also known as BPA.
-
There is no risk of toxic substances being released or any impact on taste when using the cup.
SAN plastic is known for its hardness, durability, shatter resistance, and being lighter than glass and acrylic. It performs well at high temperatures and is suitable for use in microwaves, freezers, and dishwashers.
About the IBA's dishwasher
The used cups are washed in a Hobart CN-LA tunnel dishwasher.
Each time the canteen’s dishwasher cleans a full rack of 25 cups, it only consumes:
- Electricity: 0.25 kWh
- Detergent: 1 gram
- Water: 0.89 litres of clean water
The exceptionally low water consumption per rack is due to the dishwasher already being in use in the canteen.
Naturally, the dishwasher also uses rinse aid and salt, in addition to incurring wastewater charges.
When the industrial dishwasher is switched on in the morning, it takes in 200 litres of water, which is then reused continuously. Along the way, the machine filters out dirty water automatically.

About Bodum (The manufacturer)
- Bodum was founded as a Danish manufacturer of kitchenware and tableware by Peter Bodum in 1944 in Copenhagen.
- The company, which remains 100% family-owned, is now headquartered in Baar, Switzerland.
- Its Scandinavian headquarters are located in Humlebæk, Zealand.
- The production of cups and tableware takes place in Portugal.
If the cup breaks
If the cup breaks, it should be disposed of as plastic waste. It can then be recycled along with other plastic materials.

1. The triangle on the bottom of the cup identifies the type of plastic it is made from. Each number corresponds to a specific type of plastic—see the overview of plastic types in relation to waste sorting below. Almost everything that does not fall within numbers 1-6 is classified as 7, which represents “other.”

2. The circle with “200” on the bottom of the cup is a supplier code, indicating which Bodum factory the cup was produced in.
3. The glass and fork symbol next to it is an international symbol confirming that the product is food-safe.
