The Knowledge Staircase

In the new building, the heart is the Knowledge Staircase, which connects the various spaces within. With its 129 steps, the staircase runs up through the entire building to the sixth floor.

The staircase follows the window sections all the way up, making it visible from the outside as well.

The Confucius Institute hosted a visit from upper secondary students from Silkeborg Gymnasium.

IBA’s Canteen

Billede af kantinen. — The IBA’s canteen offers breakfast, a lunch buffet, cake, and snacks every day. The canteen also has a wide selection of hot and cold beverages.

Studerende i kantinen, der laver byg-selv-salat. — In the canteen, you can choose from delicious options at the cold or hot buffet. You can also visit the salad bar or make your own custom sandwich.

Hver dag nyder de studerende deres mad sammen med deres holdkammerater, mens snakken går i IBA’s kantineområde. — Enjoy your meals with your classmates in the IBA’s spacious canteen area.

From early morning, the canteen is ready with coffee and a breakfast buffet. They finish the day by serving cake in the afternoon.

Over the years, canteen manager Conni Juul Schou has gradually introduced more organic ingredients. She also sources more locally.

IBA’s ongoing efforts to use more organic ingredients on a daily basis were recognised in 2023 with the Bronze Organic Cuisine Label.
