The IBA Confucius Institute celebrated the Chinese New Year along with employees, board members and partners. It was carried out in best Chinese fashion, with Chinese food and Chinese performances.

Chinese New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, is the most important celebration in Chinese culture. It is a special festival for family reunions, sweeping away any ill-fortune and making way for incoming good luck.

In 2024, according to the lunar calendar, the Chinese New Year falls on February 10th and is the beginning of the “Year of the Dragon”. Dragons are important symbols in Chinese astrology. They are known for being strong, wise, and successful.

The Chinese New Year is a festival focused on family gathering. Dancer Wenyan He performed a number and brought her daughter along, who surprised the audience with a little dance.
