Research Project/BA Dissertation
The research project/dissertation module is the culmination of the student’s degree studies and involves a major piece of independent research. The research has an applied nature requiring students to put into practice some of the theories and models learnt during the course.
The subject is part of the Bachelor in International Business (E-BA)

Module Aims
To enable students to develop proficiency in doing primary research, structuring and presenting comprehensive material in a logical and coherent way. To enable students independently to plan, manage and implement suggestions for strategic solutions related to practical work situations.
Module Learning Outcomes
- To enable students to reflect on the impact of various internal and external environmental aspects on management decision making in the global market place – thus allowing students to understand and identify the general forces that affect management decision making and to develop a personal solution strategy at a management level.
- To enable students to apply critical thinking skills, competences and initiative in conducting independent research for a complex and open-ended research problem within an international context.
- To enable students to critically evaluate concepts, techniques, theoretical perspectives and findings of existing research.
- To enable students to analyse, evaluate and synthesise ideas and information, and communicate these effectively.
