The official opening of IBA Confucius Institute was celebrated on October 29th with classical music, Chinese music and speeches, including a speach from the mayor of Kolding, the Chinese Cultural Counsellor in Denmark and the Presidents of both the International Business Academy and the Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance.
The opening of the Institute also celebrates the collaboration between the International Business Academy, Kolding and Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance.
The new centre will be the focal point for a wide range of activities, all serving to promote Danish/Chinese cooperation. The Chinese musicians tied it all together by playing both the popular Danish song ‘The Danish song is a young blonde girl’ (‘Den danske sang er en ung, blond pige’), and some traditional Chinese folk music.
The purpose of the centre is to spread awareness and knowledge of Chinese language and culture, while also promoting trade and cooperation between Danish and Chinese companies and organizations.
