Business Communication
This module develops learners’ understanding and practical application of effective communication within contemporary business environments. It explores key communication methods and strategies used in professional contexts, enabling students to craft clear, purposeful, and audience-focused messages across written, verbal, and visual formats.
The module is a part of the online Bachelor’s Degree BA (Hons) International Business Management.
Learners will examine interpersonal and team communication, focusing on collaboration, active listening, feedback techniques, and managing conflict in diverse organisational settings. The module also introduces the principles of persuasion, negotiation, and influence, equipping students with the skills to present arguments convincingly, build professional relationships, and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
In recognition of the evolving digital landscape, the module addresses communication in digital and social media environments, including online professionalism, digital tone, brand representation, and the effective use of digital platforms for business engagement.
Ethics and professionalism underpin all areas of study, with emphasis on responsible communication practices, cultural awareness, inclusivity, confidentiality, and corporate reputation.
