Business Organisation
This module provides an introduction to the fundamental principles of business organisation and how organisations operate within a dynamic business environment.
The module is a part of the online Bachelor’s Degree BA (Hons) International Business Management.
Students will explore key organisational theories and examine how these theories influence the design and effectiveness of organisational structures. The module also considers different forms of business ownership, highlighting their characteristics, advantages, and limitations in relation to organisational objectives.
Learners will develop an understanding of leadership and management roles within organisations, including how leadership styles and management approaches impact employee performance and organisational success. The module further introduces international business, examining how globalisation, cultural differences, and external environmental factors influence organisational decision-making and operations.
In addition, students will explore strategic planning processes and the importance of setting and achieving organisational goals. By the end of the module, learners will have gained a foundational understanding of how organisations are structured, led, and managed and how they plan strategically to remain competitive in both domestic and international contexts.
