IBA CONFUCIUS INSTITUTE –  INVITATION:

China Business Forum 2026

What strategic insights can we gain from China’s dynamic innovation landscape and evolving geopolitical influence? How can Danish and European companies benefit from and engage with China’s dynamic market?

The IBA Confucius Institute invites stakeholders and decision-makers with an interest in, or exposure to, China to participate in the annual China Business Forum.

Admission to the event is free, and you will have the opportunity to meet some of the country’s sharpest observers of the Chinese economy and geopolitical trends..

DATE: Tuesday, 5 May
TIME: 12:00 – 17:00
PLACE: IBA International Business Academy in Kolding

Kina-analytikeren Christina Boutrup

Why attend?

The event is open to everyone who is already working with Chinese companies (or is considering doing so). You may also simply be curious about how developments in the Chinese market affect all industries – including those in Denmark.

This complimentary event offers a unique opportunity to engage with leading experts who closely monitor China’s innovation capacity and its impact on global economic and geopolitical trends.

Christina Boutrup, a renowned author and China analyst who has served on the government’s expert advisory panel on China, will deliver a compelling presentation on China’s high-speed innovation.

Peter Bøgh Hansen, Political Director for the Confederation of Danish Industry in China, will address China’s role in the shifting global order and discuss the strategic implications for Danish enterprises seeking to strengthen their presence in the Chinese market.

Mette Thunø, Associate Professor at Aarhus University, will discuss the importance of Chinese language competencies and area expertise in an age where AI is increasingly used for translation and data processing, but cannot replace the contextual understanding needed to interpret China’s complex political and commercial environment.

Hao Yin, CEO & Founder of TEGnology, will share first-hand observations drawn from his long-term stay in Denmark, where he has become well integrated both professionally and socially. As a native Chinese national and an entrepreneur operating in global business, he offers a unique dual perspective.

Culture is at the core of this discussion. The focus is less on right or wrong, and more on understanding, inspiration, and how different perspectives can be bridged and combined.

The 2026 China Business Forum will be moderated by Martin Bech, Deputy Secretary General of the Danish-Chinese Business Forum.
